Double standard about disfellowshipping, new info, please read

Best Helpful "Hint"

when I get down I always think about the words in a song that picks me up..dont know the words to the song though.. .just these 6 words of it (works for me)

"the sun will come out tomorrow".....

I like to have at least one think I'm sure of.. and that's it.

Elders Won't Let Elderly Sister Stay In The Bathroom

evidently, according to my mother, her friend has all sorts of perfume allergies and has been attending meetings in the ladies room with a door open so as to hear the vital spiritual information.

anyway, the elders told her she could no longer sit in the stall.

now she's depressed and doesn't know what to do.

I've been here having a good laugh over this one

Before that, they requested that only "people without scents" (lol, it sounded like "people without sins") sit in a certain area.

I've been sitting here saying over and over again.. Any brothers and sisters here today without sins please sit in that room over there.. hahahaha.. It does sound like that.

What have you replaced the Sunday meetings with?

i have got into the habit of checking this forum and then going out on the deck (which we call the church of flow, it's a perch about 30' up) and playing my guitar for an hour or so - particularly on nice days like today.

then i come back in, look a bit of tv, eat, read and stuff like that.

i consider my sunday's sacred, i won't go anywhere unless i have to.

Sunday is our big sleep in day here.

We all sleep in and no computers, playstations, T.V.'s Radio and electronic devices until later in the morning. School months.. no screens until noon. summer months (no screens every day until 10 am)

It's a time to mildew (do nothing) kick back.. barbecue, enjoy each others company..maybe have company in later in the afternnoon.

Where have I been?

for those of you who know me, i want to let you know what has been happening lately.. on july 8th, i went in for emergency colon cancer surgery.

the tumor was removed but some malignancy was found in a few lymph nodes so chemo was recommended.

i had my first of 12 treatments last week and appear to be doing okay without any side effects.. your prayers and best wishes are appreciated very much.

Sorry to hear of this battle your having. Glad they could operate and get almost all of it.

Lets hope the Chemo does the trick.

JH.. after reading everyone's response .. and then yours..all I can say is "you made me chuckle"

Maybe they do have a phone hookup but this elderly lady still wants to interact on some level with the congregation.

I'm sensitive to smells too and avoid certain places because of it.

It's really hard when it comes to things like this. Perfume and colognes are just not natural smells..eewww

Bi Polor disorder

im 20 years and i had been "studying" for a year, convinced that the world was going to end and if i didn't do as i was told that i would go with it.

encuraged to leave my parents and live on my own so i could reach my "potential" as young, no comitments etc...pioneer ugggh... creepy.

discuraged from going to uni, whats the point i might well focus my energy on more "productive" things.
